DCA’s approach to managing Risk Adjustment and Revenue optimization challenge has two components:

1:  The most cost effective and quickest way to improve score and therefore revenue is by implementing a Prospective strategy and only pursuing retrospective recovery when necessary. For this reason, RAP’s Prospective targeting and enabling features are designed for the highest outcome with the least possible cost.
2:   Since a plan’s relationship with its providers and members is the foundation of its business and operations, the in-house staff should be the key resources for intervening with both providers and members. For this very reason, RAP infrastructure is designed to enable a plan to execute the risk improvement strategy by using their in-house resources, rather than a vendor.
